Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator, Helper, and Lathe Turner to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate CNC machinery and perform lathe turning tasks to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, technical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

CNC Machine Operation:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, etc.) to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and precision.
Lathe Turning:
- Perform turning operations on lathes, including setup and tool changes.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and tolerances as specified in the drawings.
- Inspect finished products for quality and compliance.
Assisting Roles:
- Assist senior operators and machinists in various tasks and setups.
- Help in the maintenance and cleaning of machines and work areas.
- Participate in training and skill development activities.
Quality Control:
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Document and report any discrepancies or quality issues.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols in the manufacturing environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining is a plus.
Previous experience as a CNC Machine Operator, Helper, or Lathe Turner is preferred.
Familiarity with CNC programming (G-code, M-code) is a plus.
Proficiency in using measuring tools and understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, machinery, and potential hazards. Proper safety equipment must be worn at all times.
